This Dancing Stone Trinity Claddagh is mesmerizing! As the pendant moves, the large brilliant Cubic Zirconia dances and shimmers. The pendant is sterling silver featuring both a Trinity knot and the very traditional Irish symbol – the Claddagh. The pendant also features CZ on the sleeves accentuating the alluring shape.
The Claddagh represents Love, Loyalty and Friendship.
Legend has it that the Claddagh symbol was designed by Richard Joyce, a Galway fisherman who was kidnapped by pirates and sold into slavery in North Africa where he learned the art of a goldsmith. When he was released, nothing could keep him from his beloved Galway where he returned to his true love who had been waiting for him for all the years’ captivity. Joyce created the Claddagh ring whilst in captivity to celebrate his love for the fair maiden.
At the top of the pendant discover the Trinity knot. This is the most well known Celtic knot. Today Christians revere the Trinity knot as it represents the three elements of the holy trinity – The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
To the ancient Celts the Trinity knot had several meanings. It represented the three elements of fire, earth and water whilst also depicting the three domains of land, sea and sky. In addition it was also known to symbolize life, death and rebirth. Life’s never ending circle was the only way the Celts believed they could achieve complete spiritual fulfilment.
Today the Trinity knot has also come to represent love and protection. The combination of the Claddagh and the Trinity knots makes this an ideal gift for a friend or a loved one.
Designed by Boru® in Dublin, Ireland this pendant comes with an 18″ spiga chain featuring a lobster claw catch. This unique pendant also bears a stamp from the Assay Office at Dublin Castle confirming that it has been lovingly handcrafted in Ireland.
